The Stranger
Age: Apx.: Mid-Thirties
Birthplace: Unknown
Previous Occupation: High Level Federal Government
Current Location: Sector 23
Given the fact that The Stranger knew about the end of the world long before pretty much anyone else, and given his high profile position in the federal government, it is understandable why he chose (and still chooses) to keep his identity a close kept secret, preferring the safety of anonymity, fearing that no one would trust him or they would ostracize him for his inaction – even though there was nothing he could have done to prevent what happened and was eagerly dismissed by his superiors for being a crack pot. And now, for over a hundred years since the day he has remained silent literally – choosing to observer, to watch and to listen to everything, waiting for the day (if the day should ever come) when he will once again be heard and his wisdom heeded. He has always claimed that his family has “the gift” – the gift of foresight. It was his father’s dying wish that he stay safe, stay quite and wait for the right moment to once again spread his wings and take his role as leader. And that does day come, the day he meets Steven and his friends. With all the grandeur and mellow-drama that he possesses, the Stranger makes a grand entry and informs Steven and his crew that he is the keeper of great knowledge and that his observations are key to the completion of their journey. But there is something more to this man and the group can instinctively sense – that this Stranger has an almost transcendental knowledge of the universe, which will become more apparent as their journey unfolds.
