What can be said about the Neighbor, there was time when almost nothing negative could have been said about him… then several years later a time when nothing positive could have been said about him. Throughout his life the Neighbor has always done whatever it takes to be the best, to achieve his goals – and most of the time he would run over anyone who stood in his way. He became one of the youngest show runners ever at the network he worked for – having grabbed the attention of one executive in particular – one who respected blind ambition. Over the course of less than eight years the Neighbor had E.P’ed more shows than any other producer in the building, including all of the veterans. But his early success and youth isolated him from many of his peers – many of them resented him for not having really paid his dues the way they had. The Neighbor was one of two people left in the building after “the day” and for months these two men remained unconscious as the world outside was subjected to the tyranny of the Trainers – both knew the Trainers existed and both had witnessed the mass exodus of people, but after that neither of them has any memory. When these two men awoke they found themselves in a completely deserted city. After a time they agreed to go their separate ways – the Neighbor had a compulsion to piece together what had happened and chronicle the events leading up to the fall of humanity. Many days he would sit at work, just pondering. Then, one day, as he was recounting events into his video journal he spotted something he hadn’t seen in over one hundred years…two Trainers.
