The eldest of eight siblings, Lawrence found himself raising all eight of his brothers and sisters at the tender age of eighteen after their father was killed in the war. Their mother had passed away giving birth to the youngest of the eight. Since the family had moved to California from Louisiana after a major hurricane had wiped out much of the state, there were no other family members to care for the children. As well, since Lawrence was of legal age he took it upon himself to care for the family. Because of their experience with the hurricane – having lost many family members – Lawrence’s parents had purchased a significant life insurance plan in the event their offspring were left to fend for themselves. All eight of the children were well provided for and all graduated at the top of their classes in their various disciplines. Despite all their challenges and their acquired wealth, the family never lost touch with their roots and stayed true to the values their parents instilled in them. The months leading up to the fall were very stressful for Lawrence – having a unique knowledge of the signs of the apocalypse made him very uneasy and he often sought the guidance of his friend Father Steve. But both of their faiths were shaken as the end of the world approached – Steven’s wife left him and all of Lawrence’s family (except his youngest brother) simply vanished. After “the day” Lawrence and Xavier found themselves as the only surviving members of their family and spend their days trying to piece together what happened, and what may come. Today they learned a shocking fact – a prophecy that only they thought existed has revealed itself to the world. So as a result they are acquisitioned by father Steve to join the team.
