Elizabeth has been characterized as a “despondent doctor” – although she would disagree… but that’s just her adversarial nature. After graduating from Stanford med-school, Elizabeth up-rooted herself from the bay area. She told her friends and family that she was leaving because she was offered a position at one of the best pediatric hospitals in the country, but really her wish was to escape the suffocating grasp of her parents. Without ever looking back Elizabeth packed up her SUV and hit the PCH… she landed in Brentwood, CA. She never got the chance to say goodbye to her parents before “the day”, a regret she has not fully come to terms with yet. As humaniy’s days became numbered Elizabeth quit her practice and found herself desperately trying to fight her way through the riots – fearlessly trying to help whomever she could. Much to her dismay and shock, this task ended up being an exercise in futility – no one wanted her help – it seemed as if they would rather die or wander aimlessly into than ocean rather than receive medical assistance… then with little warning almost everyone just vanished. Those that remained were either rounded up by the Trainers or retreated into the mountains. Some just hid in their homes, while others tried desperately to fight the Trainers – although it became very apparent that the Trainers could not be killed by any weapon humanity possessed. Elizabeth also came to the realization there was nothing she could for anyone who had come in contact with a Trainer. For over one hundred years, Elizabeth has been wandering the city, searching, hoping to find someone that needs her assistance as a physician…until today she hasn’t been able to find anyone who needs her. But today is different though. Today she, along with Steven, Michelle and the Cop, discovered that people can once again bleed.
