Just about the most gentle soul on the planet, Dusty spent most of his youth being passed over by his older siblings. Until one day, in a post-adolescent fit of rage and with only a nap-sack for the few possessions he cared about, stole his father’s car, drove himself to the airport and bought a ticket to Los Angeles. There he remained for over a decade – choosing never to speak with his family again. Dusty was determined to show his quality and strength and it wasn’t long before he gained notoriety in Hollywood as one of the most versatile character actors. Despite having come to terms with his family he decided that they should be kept at arms length – they were the type of people to take advantage of any situation and Dusty had worked too hard to allow them to ride his coat-tales after years of berating and belittling him – he felt they did not deserve to benefit from his success. He did have one cousin that he remained close to and would allow her to report on his well being to his parents, but that is as far as he would permit contact. Now for the past one hundred years since the fall of humanity Dusty has spent most of his time alone, recounting plays and films in his head. From time to time he visits a former colleague – ex-television executive Charles. Recently Dusty has lost favor with Charles because he refuses to join “the team” – although all that is about to change, as Dusty has become the keeper of a vital secret.
